ANTARCTICA

The “2041 International Antarctica Expedition” aims to highlight the effects of global warming and to ensure the continued protection of Antarctica from mining and exploitation beyond the year 2041, when the current international agreement ends.

Throughout the expedition, I will experience the wildlife of the frozen continent, live and breathe a sustainable lifestyle, and learn about the importance of preserving natural resources and the role of renewable energy in balancing the ecosystem. In addition to environmental knowledge and sustainable practices, the expedition is designed to develop personal and leadership skills.

Not everyday do you come across people who actually walk their talk. When they eventually step up and take action, they become our "heroes", trigger our creativity, boost our inspiration.

Meet Michiel
Meet Joost
I have come across 2 of them...Joost Notenboom and Michiel Roodenburg were with us in Antarctica. They ended their 27,000+ kms at the tip of the world in Ushuaia.

Their plea? WATER... Another of life's precious resources which we turned into a granted commodity.
Watch the CNN video about their mission, and spread it out as far and as quick as you can. This is a simple yet powerful message of innovation and determination, sprinkled with dusts of fun. All wrapped up in the name of a great cause http://www.cycleforwater.com/
